The Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cambridge, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks a Doctor of Physical Therapy to help patients achieve maximum physical function. You will interpret evaluations, set goals and plans, provide manual therapy, and guide patients in activities and assistive devices.

This onsite role requires collaboration with nursing and therapy teams, documentation of progress, and participation in quality initiatives to support exemplary patient care.

Qualificações

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree required.
• State license to practice physical therapy preferred.
• Experience with internship or supervised clinical practice helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Completes patient evaluations and establishes plan of care.
• Assists patients to reach maximum physical functioning.
• Administers manual therapy and therapeutic activities as prescribed.
• Educates patients and families about goals, progress, and home programs.
• Documents goals, progress, and plans for reevaluation.
• Participates in hospital-wide quality and safety processes.
• Maintains familiarity with EMR and accreditation requirements.

Job Summary

Summary

Assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities. Restores Patient Physical Functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment goals and plans; administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and in using assistant and supportive devices.

Essential Functions

• Completes billing sheet accurately by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
• Provides inservice education programs for nursing personnel as needed.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with both patient and family.
• Participates in Hospital-wide quality process
