Job summary

Roshal Health is seeking a Physical Therapist (PRN) in El Paso, TX to evaluate and treat patients in multiple settings including ER environments. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, neuro-focused rehabilitation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a DPT, Texas license, and BLS certification, with strong communication skills and EMR proficiency. Prior neuro experience is preferred and ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• DPT degree from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and documentation.
• Over 1 year of clinical or hospital experience.
• Experience in Neuro is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of strength, range of motion, balance, and posture.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Administer manual therapy and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation).
• Educate patients and families on recovery techniques and injury prevention.
• Monitor progress, adjust treatments, and document in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals.
• Supervise therapists/assistants where applicable.
• Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment.
• Stay updated with current PT practices and research.

Responsibilities:

Our Physical Therapists help patients improve their mobility, manage pain, and regain functionality following an injury, surgery, or illness. The ideal candidate will assess patients' conditions, create personalized treatment plans, and guide them through rehabilitative exercises and therapies, and have a focus on Neuro. Physical therapists evaluate each patient's situation by assessing their range of motion, strength, and pain levels to identify the underlying causes of their limitations.

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, posture, and muscle performance.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and clinical guidelines.
• Administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques for continued recovery, injury prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with professional standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and instruct physical therapy assistants or aides when applicable.
• Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment.
• Stay updated with current physical therapy practices, research, and innovations.

Requirements

• Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Current and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state in which the job is located
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Compassionate and patient‑centered approach to therapy.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation standards.
• Over 1 year of experience in a clinical or hospital setting is required. Experience in a specialized area such as orthopaedic, neurologic, pediatric, geriatric, or sports therapy is a plus.
• Must be able to pass all necessary health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screening and background check.
• Experience in Neuro is highly preferred

Physical Requirements

The position occasionally involves frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting. It also requires some heavy lifting of up to 20 lbs and regular pushing and pulling throughout the duration of tests. Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination are necessary for operating equipment. The work environment may vary, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, or patients' homes.
