Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist for DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton, Missouri. You will evaluate patients, develop and modify treatment plans, and oversee the delivery of therapy services per physician directions.

Applicants must hold current state licensure or be eligible to practice as a Physical Therapist and have BLS certification or complete it within 90 days. Weekend shifts may be required as part of the PRN roles.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Delegates and directs all therapy services for assigned patients.
• Designs functional treatment programs to facilitate return to community activities.
• Educates patients, families, students and coworkers.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care and therapy services.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• BLS certification or proof of completion within 90 days of employment required.

PRN / Physical Therapist

• Tier I - $47 (plus weekend differential) - 1 shift per month (one must be weekend shift) - 1 holiday/weekend prior or after (managers discretion)
• Tier II - $52 (plus weekend differential) - 3 shifts per month (at least 2 must be weekend shifts) - One summer and one winter holiday/weekend prior or after (managers discretion)

• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
