Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Physical Therapist PRN to provide inpatient acute care services, from evaluation to discharge planning, maximizing patient function. You will tailor treatment plans, document thoroughly, and work with a multidisciplinary team.

You will educate patients and families, supervise staff and students, and stay current with evidence-based practices while adhering to regulatory guidelines. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Certification: Physical Therapist (PT) with BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat and monitor patients; modify therapy programs and goals.
• Perform thorough clinical documentation; enter charges accurately and understand reimbursement.
• Communicate with patients, families, staff and care team; provide education.
• Supervise ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
• Advance clinical skills through ongoing education and evidence-based practice.
• Share knowledge to develop colleagues' clinical skills; comply with regulatory guidelines.

This is an inpatient Acute care Physical Therapist PRN opportunity

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.
• Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families, departmental coworkers and members of the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family and staff.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Imparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national and state regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.
