Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an inpatient physical therapist to evaluate patients and develop treatment plans based on physician orders. You will work with the healthcare team to transition patients to appropriate post-acute or home care, aiming to meet individualized goals.

Responsibilities include evaluating treatment response, updating plans, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Travel between facilities is required.

Job description

This job evaluates patients and provides inpatient physical therapy treatment programs based upon Physician orders from inpatient providers. Collaborates and communicates with the healthcare team to facilitate the patient to the most appropriate level of post-acute or home care to achieve identified patient specific goals.

Education

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
