Job summary

Medical City Plano is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to join our experienced team. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered evaluations and interventions, complete patient assessments, and participate in developing individualized care plans in coordination with the physician and care team.

• Licensed Physical Therapist with current state license.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
• Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in development of the total plan of care.
• Provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at patient’s home, using procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function per physician’s plan of care.
• Instruct patient/family/caregiver in the use of therapies, exercises, appliances, and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
• Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Physical Therapist (PT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Physical Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patient’s physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.

What you will do in this role:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
