Job Description

The Physical Therapist provides competent, courteous, and respectful evaluation and treatment of patients for difficulties with mobility, function, strength, and positioning, adhering to APT scope of practice and licensure laws. The PT collaborates with families, physicians, and other health team members, maintaining professional documentation. The PT also conducts in-service training for facility staff on restorative and functional maintenance programs. Reports to the Therapy Program Manager and upholds CRI’s values of Commitment, Respect, and Integrity.

Requirements

Essential Functions

• Evaluate patients within 24-48 hours of physician’s orders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Treat patients according to the plan of care.
• Supervise Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Communicate with healthcare team, patients, and families about progress and plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and discharge planning.
• Maintain documentation and complete billing.
• Instruct families and staff on maintenance programs.
• Act as a clinical supervisor for academic programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
