Job summary

Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Massachusetts in New Bedford, MA is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join our hospital-based rehabilitation team. You will assess, plan and implement physical therapy programs for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, with a focus on individualized care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include documentation, coordination with physicians and the therapy team, and patient-family communication to support optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license required in MA.
• BLS certification from Vibra-approved vendor required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Hospital-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct Physical Therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, and related documentation.
• Work under physician's orders and collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate patient progress to families and staff.

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of southeastern Massachusetts, located in New Bedford, MA, is a 90 bed Critical Care Hospital, providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing and directing Physical Therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. Functions under a physicians order.

Required Skills:

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• One (1) year of experience preferred. Ability to project a professional image.
• Previous Hospital experience preferred
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
