Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a Physical Therapist (Family Life Center) to create a distinctive and exceptional therapeutic space for infants and children that will improve their health and quality of life, and advance health equity for underserved communities.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations with appropriate tests, setting measurable goals, designing functional treatment plans, and re-evaluating/discharging patients within appropriate time frames,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy is required.
• New grads and experienced PTs welcome; pediatric experience preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in Florida.

Position Purpose

Physical Therapist (Family Life Center) - to create a distinctive and exceptional therapeutic space for infants and children that will improve their health and quality of life. Improving access and opportunity to children from poor communities with limited resources will be instrumental in improving health equity and decreasing disparities. This uniquely created area will design and implement programs to improve the individual child’s areas of need and increase overall function and participation. Individualized assessments, treatment plans, progress assessments and goals will be monitored at each session with family input and in accordance with each child’s abilities towards achieving optimal function and movement and prevention of injury.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy is required.
• Experience & Skills: New Grads and Experienced PT's welcome. Prefer Pediatric experience.
• Licensure/Certification: Must be a Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida is required.
