BAYADA Home Health Care in Springfield, MO is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Physical Therapist to serve patients in their homes across the area.

This role emphasizes 1:1 home care, diagnostic testing, gait and balance training, wound prevention, and education for patients and families. You will document care using a tablet and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a flexible schedule and meeting state requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel locally to client homes

Responsibilities

• Visit a variety of clients in their own homes to aid recovery and rehab.
• Perform diagnostic tests and measurements (mobility, balance, strength, gait).
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with therapeutic exercises.
• Educate clients and families on rehabilitative care and health maintenance.

Part Time Physical Therapist

We are recruiting for a compassionate Home Health Physical Therapist (PT) to reliably serve patients in Springfield, MO and surrounding area. This is a Part-Time position.

What you’ll do:

Visit a variety of clients in their own home, helping them recover from an injury, illness, surgery, or hospitalization.

Responsibilities for a PT - Physical Therapist include:

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Perform diagnostic tests and measurements, such as the mobility/range of joints, transfer status, stability, patterns and appearance of ambulation, strength and endurance of muscles, balance testing, and safety assessments.
• Implement integumentary protective interventions to prevent wound formation and promote wound repair utilizing evidence-based dressings and topical agents.
• Develop and implement appropriate individualized care plans, including manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and other interventions.
• Continually assess and revise the Physical Therapy - PT care plan, and participate with nursing in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.
• Educate and instruct clients, family members, or other client representatives, in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living.
• Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to client care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet.

What you should have:

• Active and current PT license
• One year of clinical experience preferred
• Previous home health care experience welcomed, but not required. We will train you!
• Ability to travel locally to cases as assigned
