Feather River Tribal Health, Inc. seeks a part-time physical therapist for Tuesdays and Fridays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The role implements the FRTH in-house Physical Therapy Program for patients with mobility limitations and health-related functional challenges. Responsibilities include evaluating referred patients, planning care with providers, coordinating with the care team, documenting in the chart, and supporting billing and program development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited physical therapy program.
• CA physical therapy license or ability to be licensed.
• Minimum of one year experience in physical therapy treatment.
• Ability to use variety of computer programs related to charting.
• Current CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy.

• Assist with timely and accurate billing with FRTH departments.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is part-time Tuesday & Friday 8:00M-5:00PM

This individual is responsible for implementation of the FRTH in-house Physical Therapy Program for patients that have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• 1. Evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy.
• 2. Development of plans of care in conjunction with referring provider.
• 3. Coordinates the physical therapy plan of care with staff and other healthcare providers
• 4. Timely documentation in the clinical record.
• 5. Work with FRTH departments to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• 6. Assists with development of programs and policies relating to physical therapy.
• 7. Assists with improvement of patient education programs.
• 8. Ensure infection control requirements of equipment used for patient care is done within set guidelines.
• 9. Submits supply requests to Lobby Receptionist to ensure supplies available for treatment.
• 10. Initiate and maintain Problem Oriented Medical Records (“S.O.A.P.” format) using dictated patient summaries, provider templates, and/or electronic health records.
• 11. At the time of hire, each employee will meet with their supervisor to set measurable goals and objectives that are a requirement for the position. These measurables will be monitored by the supervisor and reviewed during the introductory period. They will also be utilized in the annual performance evaluation. The measurables may change from year to year. The supervisor is responsible to notify the employee of any new measurables at the time of the performance review.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. Attend staff trainings and meetings as required.
• 2. Produce such reports and/or statements as required by supervisor.
• 3. Learn and implement electronic health records functions as they continue to evolve.
• 4. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 1. Graduate of accredited physical therapy program.
• 2. California physical therapy license or the ability to be licensed.

• 4. Ability to use variety of computer programs related to charting.
• 5. Current CPR certificate.
