Job summary

Ventura Services Florida is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to review patient histories, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain. The role involves hands-on therapy, exercise guidance, and progress documentation.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families about recovery, setting clear goals, and coordinating home-based care options as needed. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• MS or DPT in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Must have passed the National Certification Examination.
• Current PT license in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing patients’ medical histories.
• Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns.
• Developing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan.
• Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Recording patients’ progress and modifying the plan of care if needed.
• Educating patients and family members about the recovery process.
• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms.
• Assisting patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers.
• Advising the patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises.

Education

Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy

National Certification Examination completed

Valid PT license in state of practice
