Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, developmental, vestibular, pelvic health, and age-related conditions in a diverse rehabilitation setting. You will design individualized care plans, perform examinations to determine outcomes, educate patients and families, and document care while collaborating with the care team in Illinois.

Acute stroke experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) and BLS certification.
• Experience with acute stroke care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, patient education, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and safe patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Designs and adjusts personalized care plans based on patient goals and clinical findings.
• Performs examinations using reliable methods to diagnose and determine therapy outcomes.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams effectively.
• Performs patient transfers safely, demonstrating proper body mechanics.
• Documents care, monitors support personnel, and ensures compliance with policies.
• Completes therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, iontophoresis, and applies tape for movement facilitation or stabilization.
• Communicates progress and treatment recommendations with referring providers.
