Job summary

Baptist Health Rehab Services seeks a Physical Therapist for full-time, outpatient care. You will evaluate and treat patients, develop treatment plans, educate patients and families, and ensure documentation complies with regulations.

You will supervise assistants, participate in departmental planning, and contribute to community education. KY license required and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current license by the KY Board of Physical Therapy.
• BLS certification within 30 days from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients; develop treatment plans and set goals.
• Provide patient and family education within the treatment plan and goals.
• Complete documentation per national and state regulations and hospital policies.
• Assist with education of affiliating students, department staff, hospital staff, and the community.
• Supervise physical therapist assistants and technicians as appropriate.

Our therapists and assistants are trained in treating neurological, orthopedic, vestibular, lymphedema, pediatrics, industrial medicine, swallowing, and speech and language disorders.

Physical Therapist

Full-Time, Outpatient

Job Description:

• The staff physical therapist shall evaluate and treat patients, develop a treatment plan and set goals for patients.
• Patient and family education is included in the treatment plan and goals.
• The PT will complete documentation according to applicable national and state regulations as well as hospital and departmental policies.
• The therapist will assist with the education of affiliating students, department staff, hospital staff, and the community at large.
• The therapist will appropriately delegate to and supervise physical therapist assistants and technicians.
• The therapist will participate in departmental operational plan.
• The therapist must intervene appropriately and meet the needs of the patients with impaired mental abilities, vision, hearing or mobility.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy
• Current license by the Ky Board of Physical Therapy
• BLS within 30 days from date of hire
