Job summary

Top Echelon LLC seeks an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our established rehabilitation team in the Cayuga/Montour Falls area. You will deliver hands-on care in an outpatient clinic, evaluating patients and creating individualized treatment plans to improve function and quality of life.

Ideal candidates have a DPT, NY license or eligibility, and BLS certification. You’ll work in a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will provide exceptional care to patients in an outpatient setting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Administering various therapeutic treatments, including exercises, manual therapy, modalities (such as ultrasound, heat/ice therapy, and electrical stimulation), and patient education.
• Educating patients on exercise programs, posture correction, and injury prevention to ensure long-term recovery and improved functional outcomes.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to meet their rehabilitation goals.Documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with departmental policies and industry standards.
• Providing excellent patient education to empower individuals in managing their rehabilitation and preventing future injuries.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to infection control and safety guidelines.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience:Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy settings is preferred.
• Licensure:Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Physical Therapist license in the state at the time of hire.
• Education:A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program is required.
• Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Skills:Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and team members. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Patient Care:Ability to deliver high-quality, compassionate care for a wide range of patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Physical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance. Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and moving patients during treatment sessions.
