Job summary

UCLA Health seeks a Physical Therapist with strong neurologic rehabilitation expertise to provide outpatient care for adolescents to geriatrics in a fast-paced setting. You will evaluate patients, develop and adjust treatment plans, document in the EMR, and contribute to productivity goals while coordinating with a physical therapist assistant as needed.

Required qualifications include California PT license or eligibility, BCLS, and excellent communication across diverse populations.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy License or eligibility to work as such.
• Experience with neurological conditions necessary to successfully navigate this position.
• Current BCLS Certificate from AHA or ARC
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Ability to establish an appropriate treatment plan and adjust based on patient goals and department policies.
• Physical capability to lift up to 35 pounds and assist patient transfers.
• More than 2 years of licensed PT experience qualifies for PT 2

Seeking a Physical Therapist with strong background and clinical expertise in Neurologic rehabilitation with varying patient demographics from adolescents to geriatrics. Primary functions are to provide applicable physical therapy care for patients with various diagnoses in a fast paced outpatient setting. Major duties include: patient evaluation and treatment, electronic medical record documentation, maintain expected productivity levels (including special assignments), special projects and duties as assigned. The primary function is patient care, unless otherwise specified. This candidate will be responsible for working with a physical therapist assistant and delegating patient caseloads as appropriate.

Salary range: $56.17 -$73.99/hour

Required:

• Skill in making appropriate and effective decisions based on needs of the patient, priorities of the department, and the Medical Center and Department Policies and Procedures. Demonstrates ability to establish an appropriate treatment plan, select appropriate treatment techniques, assess the results based upon synthesis of all available information, and the patients' functional goals, with changes in the plan and timely discharge as indicated.
• Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, stooping, sitting, squatting, walking, standing during 8-10 hr. day. Normal duties involvelifting (up to 35 pounds without equipment), transferring patients, and pushing wheelchairs up to 500 feet.
• Ability to assign and supervise the performance of appropriate treatment within the technical and legal capabilities of support personnel.
• More than 2 years of licensed PT experience qualifies for PT 2

Preferred:

• More than 2 years of licensed PT experience
• Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy
