Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO seeks a Physical Therapist to help patients regain strength, mobility and confidence after illness, injury or surgery. You will assess needs with physicians and the care team and design personalized therapy plans focused on meaningful goals and outcomes.

You will deliver evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy required
• Missouri licensed Physical Therapist required
• BLS certification preferred or required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians and care team
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain
• Monitor progress and document outcomes accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs and safe practices

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Physical Therapist, you play a vital role in helping patients regain strength, restore mobility, and rebuild confidence following illness, injury, or surgery. Working closely with physicians and the care team, you’ll assess each patient’s needs and create personalized therapy plans designed around meaningful goals, active engagement, and exceptional patient outcomes. Your role will include:

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Delivering evidence-based interventions that restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life
• Monitoring progress, refining therapy plans, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of outcomes
• Educating patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence
• Collaborating across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery
• Leading by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity

What qualifications you will need

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
• Missouri licensed Physical Therapist
• BLS certification

It is preferred that additional certification is obtained in one of the following areas

• Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
• Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (APTA)
• Sports Physical Therapy Clinical Specialist (APTA)
• Athletic Training Certification
• Neurology Clinical Specialist (APTA)
• Certified Spinal Manipulative Therapist
• Or other certification as approved by Manager/Director
