Overview

RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN.

RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities

Physical Therapist (PT)- On-Call Status

Location: Hospital / outpatientPosition Status: PRN

Schedule: Scheduled as needed.

Pay Range: $44.40 - $62.17 (based on experience) including a weekend and holiday rotation.

The PT will work as a member of our physical therapy team to evaluate and treat patients in the outpatient, inpatient, and sub-acute settings. The PT is expected to effectively and professionally interacting with patients, family members, and other health care team members while maintaining RiverView Health standards of behavior.

Qualifications

What are we looking for:

  • Flexibility to work across inpatient, outpatient, and swing bed environments

Primary responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and interpret patient assessments to determine necessity for skilled services to develop physical therapy plans of care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to achieve established therapy goals
  • Identify patient’s needs (physical, cultural, and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on safety and mobility
  • Document and complete billing according to current standards and policies
  • Perform data collection and obtain accurate information
  • Effectively delegate tasks and supervise physical therapy assistants as needed
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Assist in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards
  • Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge

Required:

    • Current clinicians:
      • Current State of Minnesota license as a Physical Therapist/ PT or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Physical Therapist / PT.
      • Current American Heart BLS certification. If not held currently, training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months from the date of hire.
    • Current students:
      • Clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
      • Requiring passing score on NPTE within 3 months of hire.
      • Current American Heart BLS certification. If not held currently, training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months from the date of hire.
