Job summary

Ochsner Health in Meridian, MS is seeking a Physical Therapist to autonomously deliver treatment to patients, evaluate progress, and develop individualized plans. You will ensure care quality and patient experience while supporting program development and community needs.

The role requires a PT license in the state, a Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, and BLS certification. Expect collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and flexible scheduling to meet patient demand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy is required.
  • Current physical therapy license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Performs evaluations and provides treatment programs to facilitate patient-specific goals.
  • Assesses patient response to treatment and adjusts the plan as needed.
  • Maintains patient records according to documentation standards and policies.
  • Meets productivity benchmarks as defined by administration (access to care, patient experience, quality).
  • Contributes to program development to meet patient and community needs.
  • Adapts approach to diverse patient populations while respecting privacy and communication preferences.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

This job functions autonomously to deliver physical therapy treatment, either through referral or direct to consumer. Evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, assesses patients, and monitors progress toward treatment goals. Ensures patient needs are met through access to care, patient experience and quality of care metrics. Assists in program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education
  • Required - Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.

  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
