Job summary

OrthoNebraska is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based care for diverse musculoskeletal conditions. You will evaluate and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function and reduce pain in collaboration with physicians and staff.

The role requires Nebraska/Iowa licensure, BLS certification within 60 days of hire, and prior orthopedic PT experience. You will participate in education for students and work a 40-hour, Monday–Friday schedule in Omaha.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved program for physical therapy
  • Fully licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of Nebraska and/or Iowa
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of hire; advanced certifications preferred
  • Any Orthopedic experience as a Physical Therapist required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality clinical care and customer service.
  • Establish goals and treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, family members and healthcare team.
  • Provide treatment services to restore, maintain or improve patient functions.
  • Promote the hospital's vision to be the BEST through department initiatives and community outreach.
  • Develop and enhance the department's vision with growth and program development.
  • Promote collaboration with referring physicians.
  • Offer clinical instruction to PT students.
  • Collaborate with others with good listening and respectful communication to reach consensus.
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

Position Summary: The Physical Therapist, the ideal candidate will provide high - quality, evidence-based care to a diverse population with musculoskeletal conditions. This role involves evaluating, diagnosis, and implementing individualized treatment plans to restore function, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life. They work closely with the medical team including physicians, physical therapy assistants and ancillary staff to coordinate care for optimal patient outcomes.

Position Requirements

Education: Graduate of an approved program for physical therapy - required.

Licensure: Fully licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of Nebraska and / or Iowa - required.

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of hire. Advanced clinical certification is preferred.

Experience: Any Orthopedic experience as a Physical Therapist required.

  • Must be able and willing to collaborate with others as demonstrated by good listening skills, honest and respectful communication, and engaging in the process of reaching consensus when making decisions.
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

Physical requirements: This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
