Physical Therapist - San Francisco

Other Location Available: Mill Valley, CA

Compensation: $43 - $45 per hour plus a STRONG PRODUCTIVITY BONUS!

** Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, one-on-one patient care, supervise aides, and manage documentation. The role involves communication with referral sources and insurance companies, along with promoting clinic growth.**

About the Job

The ideal candidate will deliver hands-on care, oversee patient rehabilitation, ensure accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with all parties. Additionally, you'll contribute to the clinic's marketing efforts and stay updated on the latest treatment practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Greet patients warmly and introduce yourself.

  • Review patient charts before evaluations.

  • Understand insurance benefits and comply with policies.

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and educate patients about their condition.

  • Develop initial home exercise programs and supervise aides.

  • Use only approved treatment techniques and modalities.

  • Provide follow-up visits and perform re-evaluations as needed.

  • Discharge patients when appropriate.

Supervision & Communication:

  • Supervise physical therapy aides during treatments.

  • Respond to phone messages, emails, and mail within 24-48 hours.

  • Communicate with referral sources, insurance companies, and caseworkers as required.

Administrative Duties:

  • Attend PT and staff meetings.

  • Document patient care accurately and comply with billing policies.

  • Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

Professional Development:

  • Complete at least 15 continuing education hours annually.

  • Participate in community lectures or outreach services annually.

  • Attend doctor’s appointments or observe surgeries annually.

Additional Duties:

  • Work a half-day Saturday shift every 6-8 weeks.

  • Maintain professional appearance and hygiene standards.

Qualifications :

  • Experience as a Physical Therapist (WE ACCEPT NEW GRADS!)

  • Graduate of Physical Therapy program.

  • Active/current Physical Therapist license in the state of California.

  • Proven ability to provide high-quality patient care.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry standards.

  • Able to work in San Francisco.

  • Authorized to work in the US.
