Shift: Monday to Friday 4 - 10 hour days or 5 - 8 hour days, NO weekends
Hours of Work: 7am to 6pm

Assumes responsibility for evaluating patients and planning and executing individualized physical therapy programs in accordance with state licensure and PT scope of practice.
Provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of license and regulatory requirements; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate treatment within the care plan.
Establish treatment goals, develop written treatment plans, and administer treatments to meet those goals; re-evaluate patient status and revise plans as needed.
Delegate tasks to physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation technicians as appropriate; ensure proper supervision and documentation.
Document patient status and progress according to internal standards and reimbursement guidelines; communicate with the treatment team to integrate physical therapy with overall patient care.
Participate in conferences and exchange of records with interdisciplinary team members; provide patient and family education including written instructions.
Attend meetings and in-services as designated; follow hospital policies including patient confidentiality and infection control.
Meet or exceed program productivity expectations and adhere to Mary Free Bed Standards of Behavior.
Support program operations and participate in program development, research activities, and orientation/training of new staff as assigned.
Graduate of CAPTE (Accreditation) program.
Licensure with the State of Michigan.
Possesses and maintains BLS certification.
Ability to lift, position, and transport patients; frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, grasping, reaching; occasional climbing.
Ability to hear, speak, write, and see (correctable vision).
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently and more than 75 pounds occasionally; ability to push/pull/carry 1 to 100+ pounds as needed; exertion up to 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
Serve as clinical instructor for physical therapy students; supervise, teach, and evaluate student skills; coordinate with participating universities.
Participate in program development and/or research; participate in orientation and training of new staff.
