Job summary

Michigan Medicine in Brighton, MI is seeking a Neuro Physical Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans for patients through neurological and general rehabilitation.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, supervise PT assistants, and utilize advanced equipment to advance patient goals while growing your clinical knowledge in a rich learning environment.

Hybrid or remote work options may be available at the department's discretion and participation in rotation is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or basic MS for licensure before 2016.
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) for licensure on/after 2016.
  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship is necessary.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan.
  • Primary Source Verification required.
  • 1-3 years of multidisciplinary rehab experience including vestibular diagnoses and two of Concussion, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, or Parkinson's Disease.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic neurological and general rehab conditions.
  • Utilize advanced technological equipment to improve patient outcomes and achieve health goals.
  • Expand clinical knowledge by working in a rich learning environment with experts in neurological and physical rehabilitation.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.

Job Summary

The Brighton Center for Specialty Care is a University of Michigan Ambulatory Care facility dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. The brand new 2-story facility is located at 7500 Challis Rd. Brighton, MI. We are actively seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-oriented individuals who will share in the goal of creating the ideal experience for our patients, families and employees.

Required Qualifications
  • If licensed prior to 2016: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or basic MS.
  • If licensed on or after 2016: Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Work Schedule

This position is full-time, working a day shift. This position will require two closing shifts per week.

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.

Background Screening
