The Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist specializing in Acute-Care. You will provide evaluation, plan and deliver treatment for patients referred to Physical Therapy, and document care while educating patients, families, hospital staff and students.

You will contribute to clinical research and education, strive for quality care, and support the Medical Center’s mission. Full-time days, with some weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• 1 year of Physical Therapist experience preferred.
• Experience in hospital acute care setting preferred.
• ICU experience preferred; CPR certification required.

Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist specializing in Acute-Care:

• Provides evaluation, program planning and treatment of patients referred to Physical Therapy
• Provides documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students
• To participate in the enhancement of the profession, the facility, and one’s self by providing quality care, clinical research, and education
• Ensures that all patients are helped to meet their maximum potential through the quality care and input to medical management provided by the Physical Therapist and that the therapist continues his or her professional growth and development contribution to the Medical Center

Shift: full-time - 40 hours per week - Dayshift - Monday - Friday - Some weekends and Holidays

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited academic program.

• 1 year of Physical Therapist experience preferred
• Experience in Hospital acute care setting
• Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program
• ICU experience preferred.
• Current State licensure as Physical Therapist required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required.

Salary Range: Minimum $34.62hour - Maximum $57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
