Overview

We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team in our Hummelstown, PA location.

Position Type: Part-Time

Shift: 1st Shift - no week-ends

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday / Hours may vary

Responsibilities
  • Attend / Participates in Physiatry clinic and prioritizes needs for the caseload consulting with physiatrist and assisting with follow-up
  • Implements and recommends physical therapy programs and treatments in accordance with Pennsylvania Physical Therapy (practices) State Practice Act, and the facility and state requirements.
  • Facilitates Wheelchair clinics with vendors and develops mold design.
  • Prepares and provides in-service programs to professional and non-professional staff of the facility to others who may take temporary responsibility for Individuals in our care.
  • Provides consultation to other professional health disciplines employed or contacted by the facility.
  • Keeps work area clean and properly arranged.
  • Responsible to maintain and / or report need to have repaired all equipment assigned to the Physical Therapy Department.
  • Provides consultation and design of seating and positioning systems.
  • Plans, organizes and supervises sessions of prescribed physical therapy.
  • Works with facility staff to see that there is carry over in programs and / or techniques to facilitate the Individuals' development and independence.
  • Assist in revision of department policy and procedure.
  • Prepares periodic documentation of the individuals' progress in the Physical Therapy Program and attends Interdisciplinary Team staffing as needed.
  • Evaluates and re-evaluated Individuals for physical therapy services, periodically reviews the Individuals' progress and makes necessary program revisions based on individual needs.
  • Insures the safety of the individuals is maintained at all times.
  • Performs related work as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • License Certification (current PA PT/ Licensure)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapy Program)
  • 3-5 years (experience working w/ IDD Preferred)
