Vernon Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to deliver inpatient rehabilitation at our critical access hospital, with outpatient coverage in our rural health clinic. This position offers the opportunity to practice with a dynamic, collaborative team and to utilize full scope of physical therapy skills in evaluation, treatment planning, and decision-making.

Hours are 7am–5pm with compensation starting at $41.50/hour and increases based on experience.

Qualificações

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in Wisconsin.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Hours 7am–5pm with inpatient/outpatient coverage.

Vernon Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to deliver comprehensive rehabilitative services within our primarily inpatient critical access hospital, with additional outpatient coverage in our rural health clinic. The Physical Therapist performs skilled evaluations, develops individualized treatment plans, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient recovery and functional independence. This role emphasizes high-quality, evidence-based care while educating patients and families on therapeutic techniques, equipment use, and home exercise programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and establish patient-centered treatment goals.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including exercise prescription, gait training, and balance training as appropriate.
• Interpret and implement physician orders.
• Assess patient status and functional progress; maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate updates and progress to referring providers and insurance companies.
• Monitor patient response to treatment, identify contraindications, and modify plans of care to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families on assistive device use, home exercise programs, and therapeutic techniques.
• Promote safe and effective use of equipment and therapy spaces.
• Stay current with advancements and best practices in physical therapy.
• Provide in-service training for clinic and hospital staff and participate in staff development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current Wisconsin Physical Therapist license
• Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain)

Hours:

• Hours between 7am- 5pm, based on patient needs

• Starting wage: $41.50/hour, with increases based on experience
