Job summary

Jackson Therapy Partners is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist for Sitka, AK. You will help patients move better, feel better, and stay active, whether recovering from injury or managing chronic conditions, in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Requirements include an entry-level Master’s or Doctorate in PT or equivalent experience, active state license, BLS, valid driver’s license, and willingness to supervise staff and participate in interdisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, OR equivalent qualifying pathway with 2 years of experience.
• Active Physical Therapist state license required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clinical competency within 3 months; high-risk competency within 3 months.
• Experience across inpatient and outpatient settings preferred.
• Experience documenting for Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payers.
• Ability to supervise PTAs, students, interns, or other staff.
• Willingness to participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat inpatient and outpatient populations as needed.
• Document in EMR and adhere to payer documentation standards.

Job description

We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to take on a full-time role with one of our area clients. You’ll help patients move better, feel better, and stay active—whether they’re recovering from an injury or managing long-term conditions.

• Entry level qualifying Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, OR graduation from an APTA-approved program at the master’s or bachelor’s level with 2 years proven work and continuing education experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge to a Doctorate.
• Active Physical Therapist state license required to start.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Clinical competency must be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years.
• High risk competency must be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years.
• Broad-based clinical experience across multiple settings preferred.
• Experience evaluating and treating inpatient and outpatient populations preferred.
• Ability to document in electronic medical records and follow billing/documentation standards for Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers.
• Ability to supervise and direct Physical Therapist Assistants, students, interns, or other designated staff.
• Willingness to participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, patient education, and discharge planning.
