Job summary

Soundly Speaking is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to serve adult IDD clients in Texas via teletherapy. You will perform accurate evaluations and reevaluations over Zoom and coordinate with families and case managers.

You must hold a Texas Physical Therapist license, work well with teams, supervise assistants, and maintain patient confidentiality while delivering high-quality, accessible therapy from home.

Qualifications

• TX-licensed physical therapist in good standing.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to provided materials.
• Experience with teletherapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and reevaluations via Zoom.
• Document visits and communicate with families/case managers to share updates.
• Supervise assistants and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation.

• Texas-issued Physical Therapist License

A day in the life of one of our therapists can look like:

• Meeting with clients over Zoom and providing accurate evaluations and reevaluations.
• Documenting evaluation visits and contacting families and case managers to share updates
• Monitoring Assistants as needed to make sure they can provide the highest quality service and being there to answer any questions they may have

Looking to hire passionate and committed Physical Therapists who are dedicated to serving adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the major cities of Texas. As the #1 adult IDD therapy provider in Texas, Soundly Speaking works closely with dayhab staff and families to serve our inspiring clients ages 21 and up.

Soundly Speaking provides both in-person and teletherapy services to our clients. Based on an hourly wage, we expect our Physical Therapists to:

• Provide high quality evaluations in the client’s home and communicate with families about the therapy sessions
• Provide the appropriate amount of supervision for their assistants
• Adaptability and teamwork skills
• Turn in paperwork in a 24 hour timeline
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA, State, and Federal Regulations
