General Summary of Position

MedStar Health is looking for a Physical Therapist (float) to join our team at Therapy @ Chevy Chase - North. We seek a licensed physical therapist with professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy, demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches, excellent customer service skills, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

1. Provide physical therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, and documentation across various settings. Participate in program planning and protocol development to meet team goals.
2. Evaluation services: Review historical information, perform assessments, explain findings, and involve patients and families in goal setting.
3. Implement treatment protocols: Based on evaluation findings, consult with healthcare professionals, and modify plans as needed.
4. Discharge planning: Complete appropriate discharge procedures, document care accurately, and ensure a clear record of patient progress.
5. Time management and professionalism: Manage schedules effectively, demonstrate flexibility, and show empathy towards patients.
6. Professional development: Pursue continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor staff and students.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
2. Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required.
3. American Heart Association BLS and CPR certification.

This position offers a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
