MedStar Health is looking for a Physical Therapist Float (Inpatient) to join our team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital!
The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to patients, including screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, re-assessment and revision, patient re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation at a minimum of three inpatient locations. The Physical Therapist participates in program planning and protocol development and assists the team in meeting established goals.

Provides evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, assessments, and documentation. Explains findings and treatment plans to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
Demonstrates proficiency in implementing treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient presentation, and healthcare environment. Consults with healthcare professionals as needed and recognizes changes in patient condition requiring plan modifications.
Completes discharge planning and follow-up care. Documents patient care activities accurately and timely, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Manages time effectively to meet productivity expectations. Maintains an accurate schedule and provides flexible, empathetic patient access to care.
Engages in continuing education for professional growth. Serves as a clinical instructor and assists with orientation and mentoring of staff, students, and volunteers.
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
