The role includes conducting initial and ongoing assessments, implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, educating patients and families, coordinating discharge, and supervising therapy assistants in line with licensing laws and practice standards. Some team members may drive as part of the job.

Aufgaben

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities
• Documents subjective, objective, and assessment findings and plans patient progress
• Educates and counsels the patient and family/caregiver
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting
• Provides information regarding adaptive equipment and support programs
• Supervises and delegates care provided by physical therapy assistants according to laws and standards
• May operate a motor vehicle for MaineGeneral Health business
