Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services is seeking a Fee-for-Service Physical Therapist to join the Early Intervention program serving Everett, Malden, and Medford families. The role emphasizes hands-on, family-centered services for children from birth to three, with coaching for caregivers and a team-based treatment approach.

The position offers varied hours (5–25 per week) from 8am–5:30pm, with an hourly rate of $70. Transportation is required, and MA licensure is mandatory to practice in this program.

Qualifications

• MA registration is required.
• Experience with infants/early childhood ages 0-5 years preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support infants to 3-year-olds using IFSP-based goals.
• Provide family-centered, transdisciplinary therapy services.
• Collaborate with families, physicians, and EI staff on care plans.
• Maintain client records in compliance with DPH and Eliot policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and EI Specialist Certification as needed.

Eliot is seeking a driven Fee-for-Service Physical Therapist to join our Early Intervention (EI) program which supports children from birth to three years of age with developmental delays or disabilities in the Everett, Malden, and Medford area. Our multidisciplinary team delivers community-based therapeutic interventions using a coaching model with parents and caregivers.

As a Physical Therapist, you will use a hands-on, family-focused approach to services that strives to increase parents’ understanding of their child’s strengths & needs, & supports parents in learning how to foster their child’s growth & development.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate children’s performance using standardized measures, focusing on postural control, mobility, muscle tone, range of motion, and adaptive device needs
• Provide transdisciplinary services to families and children, developing and following up on treatment goals within the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP)
• Collaborate with staff, families, physicians, and agencies for team-based treatment planning and service delivery
• Maintain client records per Department of Public Health and Eliot protocols and ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations
• Participate in professional development, attend seminars, and complete required EI Specialist Certification for staff working 20+ hours with service coordination

Qualifications:

• Registered in Massachusetts by the Board of Registration in Allied Health
• Experience working with infant and early childhood ages 0-5 years old
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a personally owned vehicle

Schedule: Varied, 5-25 hours per week available Monday-Friday, between 8am-5:30pm

$70—$70 USD
