Indiana Regional Medical Center, Inc. seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate inpatients, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions. You will monitor progress, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to ensure safe discharge planning.

The role requires a PA license, BLS certification (or within 1 month of hire), and a BS in Physical Therapy with 1+ year inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in physical therapy is required.
• 1+ year inpatient hospital or rehab experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 1 month of hire.
• Pennsylvania Physical Therapy license required.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for inpatients (medical-surgical, ICU, orthopedics, neurology).
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on findings, physician input, and patient goals.
• Deliver interventions including gait, balance, strengthening, and mobility activities.
• Monitor and document progress; adjust plan of care as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other team members.

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients admitted to inpatient units (medical-surgical, ICU, orthopedics, neurology, etc.).
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, physician recommendations, and patient goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including gait training, balance, strengthening, and mobility activities.
• Monitor and document patient progress, modifying the plan of care as needed.
• Provide education to patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and discharge recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, occupational therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in discharge planning by providing input regarding mobility status, equipment needs, and appropriate follow-up services.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and meets regulatory, payer, and facility requirements.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, ethical standards, and professional guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• EDUCATION: BS degree in physical therapy required, master’s or DPT preferred
• EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of experience in an inpatient hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
  • Physical Therapy license in Pennsylvania required
