Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current North Carolina license to practice physical therapy.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Recognize, select and utilize effective methods of verbal and non-verbal interactions based on patient age.
• Develop and modify goals and treatment plans in collaboration with the physical therapist.
• Deliver various therapeutic interventions accurately and effectively.
• Delegate and monitor aspects of care to appropriate PT personnel.
• Coordinate the delivery of physical therapy services.
• Document services delivered clearly, concisely, and accurately.
• Actively participate in the education of self, patient and others.
• Assist with patient billing and departmental productivity documentation.
• Utilize resources efficiently (human, equipment, supplies).
• Cross-train in other settings to provide coverage as needed.
