Job summary

Carolina Therapy Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Laurinburg, NC on a PRN basis. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and support patient recovery.

The role emphasizes patient education, accurate documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings within a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current North Carolina PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment programs established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional performance.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the Physical Therapist.
• Accurately document treatment sessions and patient responses.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety precautions, and home programs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional treatment environment.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
