Job summary

The PTA will carry out skilled treatment programs under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, document patient activities, and communicate with patients, families, and medical staff. Requirements include CAPTE-accredited PTA/PT program, current state license, CPR, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited PTA or PT program.
• Current valid State license/registration and CPR certification.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and stand/walk for the majority of a shift.

Responsibilities

• Carry out skilled treatment programs under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Record patient activities and charges using medical terminology in a timely fashion.
• Maintain respectful dialogue with patients, families, and medical staff.
