Job summary

Mission Healthcare in Moreno Valley, CA seeks a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct PT services under a Physical Therapist's plan of care. You will implement treatments to relieve pain, restore function, and maximize patient performance in a home health/hospice setting.

The role requires an accredited PTA program graduate with an Associate’s degree, current PTA license or certification, and BLS/CPR. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required for patient visits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an Associate's degree.
• Current Physical Therapy certification or license as required by state law.
• Current BLS, hands-on CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy according to the directions of Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care.
• Treat patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle re‑education, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.
• Utilize physical agents, including, but not be limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage.
• Observe and report to the Physical Therapist and organization personnel the patient’s reaction to treatment and any changes in patient's condition.
• Instruct patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.

Pay range: $38-$40 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule/Shift: full-time, M-F, 8AM-5PM

Territory/Location: Moreno Valley, Perris, Hemet, and surrounding cities
