Job summary

Parkway Health and Rehab is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide prescribed therapy to patients recovering from injuries.

You will review referrals, assess progress, and implement treatment plans while documenting outcomes to guide care.

The position requires strong cognitive skills, an active PT license in good standing, and at least one year of PT experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current PT license in good standing with the State Licensing board.
• Minimum of one year PT experience in a related setting.
• Federal-, State - and GHR credentials current on file.
• Cognitive skills relevant to the position.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
• Reviews physician's referral and patient records to determine required physical therapy treatment.
• Tests and measures strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency; records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
• Plans and prepares written treatment programs based on patient data.
• Instructs and assists patients in performing various physical activities and the use of devices.
• Administers treatments using physical agents and equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, whirlpool baths, moist packs, UV/IR lamps, and ultrasound.
• Evaluates treatment progress and adjusts plans to maximize outcomes.
• Records treatment progress in chart or electronic records.

Test and measures patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.

Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data

Instructs, motivates, and assists patient to perform various physical activities, such as non-manual exercise, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistant and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses

Administers treatments involving application of physical agents, using equipment, such as hydrotherapy tanks and whirlpool baths, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines

Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum

Records treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enters information into computer
