Qualifications

• Successful graduation from a accredited two-year program for physical therapist assistants
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a PTA in the state of Florida
• Prior experience in Physical Therapy preferred
• Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association preferred
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Good administrative and communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, and equipment
• Understanding of patient safety and hazard prevention during treatment
• Ability to build effective relationships with patients and staff
• Emotional stability and confidentiality
• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement is a plus
