Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Miami, FL seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to carry out treatments under a Physical Therapist's supervision and support resident care.

You will document progress, collaborate with disciplines, and ensure timely, patient-centered outcomes while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Valid Florida PTA license and registration.
• Provide treatment under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Experience in long-term or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation skills with timely progress notes.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Punctual and professional in conduct.
• Maintain confidentiality and Resident Rights.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment per goals developed by the PT.
• Provide feedback to supervising PT via documentation per facility policy.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered care.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA.

Physical Therapy Assistant - PTA

Responsibilities Include:

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for carrying out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the PT. As well, the PTA must provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist via documentation or in any other method required by facility policy.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
