Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Miami, FL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our residents with compassionate, evidence-based therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will deliver treatments, document progress, and collaborate with the rehab team to maintain high standards of patient-centered care.

A valid Florida PTA license and an accredited PTA program are required, with long-term/geriatric care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Must hold a valid license/registration for Florida.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Experience in long-term/geriatric care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment by adhering to goals set by PT.
• Document progress and communication per facility policy.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Physical Therapy Assistant - PTA

Responsibilities Include:

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for carrying out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the PT. As well, the PTA must provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist via documentation or in any other method required by facility policy.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
