Manresa Healthcare Center in Watsonville, CA seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to assist Physical Therapists in delivering rehabilitative care focused on mobility, strength, and function. This role supports both new graduates and experienced therapists in a collaborative, respectful environment.

The PTA will work under licensed PT supervision, participate in care conferences, and contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts to optimize resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing.
• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• New graduates are welcome to apply; experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred.
• Knowledge of PDPM and basic documentation standards.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.
• Physical ability to safely assist residents with mobility and therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans under PT supervision.
• Document therapy sessions and resident progress accurately and timely.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility, and functional activities.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary team.
