Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering evidence-based care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions. You will help implement treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and function in collaboration with the supervising PT.

Key requirements include an accredited PTA program associate degree, active state PTA license, optionally BLS, and strong communication skills to educate patients

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
  • Active state PTA license or certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs.
  • Maintain equipment and treatment areas.
  • Communicate patient status with the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Other duties as assigned.
