Responsibilities

• Assisting the Physical Therapist in the implementation of treatment interventions
• Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients’ strength, mobility and function.
• Providing training to individuals and others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Supporting individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the multidisciplinary team members as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant training program
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification in state of practice
• Current Live CPR Certification
• Two-step TB skin test requiredProof of Auto Insurance
• Knowledge of evidence based therapy interventions
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health
• One year preferred
• New grads encouraged to apply
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
• A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment that verifies employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations

Salary Range

USD $29.00 - $35.00 / Hour
