Northside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant ( PTA ) for a day shift. The role supports therapists by guiding patients through exercises, implementing treatment plans, and educating families on home programs.

You will join a dedicated nursing team that values patient well‑being and teamwork. The position offers growth opportunities, a supportive environment, and on‑site work in Gadsden, Alabama.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• Current Alabama PTA certification required.
• Strong communication and patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and assist with physical patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and strength.
• Implement treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists and monitor progress.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and home exercises.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress.
