Job summary

Greenspring Village by Erickson Senior Living in Springfield, VA is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support residents with person-centered care across the continuum of care. The role emphasizes adherence to medicare/state guidelines, accurate documentation, and collaborative care within an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in PTA, current CPR certification, and an active state license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have current CPR Certification.
• Experience with the therapeutic care of older adults is preferred.
• Must hold a valid current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day Physical Therapy treatments across all settings within the Erickson Senior Living campus.
• Follow Medicare, state and federal regulations, and company policies and procedures; ensure documentation and compliance.
• Implement residents’ care plans, focusing on individual strengths and routines, while offering comfort and companionship.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team to address residents’ needs throughout their care.

Our Physical Therapist Assistants support our residents in all aspects of daily living, providing person-centered care to ensure we meet all of our resident’s needs. All of our residents live within our award-winning campus, creating an environment where you can be part of their journey throughout their continuum of care.

Help people live better lives by:

• Providing a holistic approach, supporting the residents' physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs
• Providing day-to-day Physical Therapy treatments to meet resident’s needs in all settings across the Erickson Senior Living community continuum of care
• Following Medicare, state and federal regulations, APTA, and company policies and procedures and ensure departmental understanding and compliance in the areas of care provision, documentation, billing reimbursement, resident rights, customer service, and compliance, and other requirements as defined in the respective regulations.
• Implementing residents’ personal care plans, focusing on residents’ strengths, preferences, and preferred routines, while providing a sense of comfort, companionship, and belonging.
• Working with the interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed throughout their care.

Compensation: $36.00 to $43.00/hourly based on experience

What you will need:

• Minimum of an associate’s degree in physical therapy assistant program is required. Degree and training must meet current Medicare and state personnel requirements for Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in the therapeutic care of the older adult across multiple diagnostic groups is preferred.
• A valid current state license (for the state in which the community provides service) in physical therapy, where applicable.
