Job summary

TMC: Therapy Management Corporation is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join the EncompassCare Plus team at Celina Manor in Celina, Ohio. This role focuses on applying PTA skills to support PT plans, promote recovery, and help patients regain function.

The PTA will lead therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the supervising therapist. A degree in PTA and current state licensure are required; flexible scheduling and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license/certification in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to address patients' specific rehabilitation goals and functional needs.
• Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities; monitor progress and provide feedback to ensure safe participation.
• Ensure proper application of treatment modalities and adjust parameters as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management techniques.
• Monitor and document patient progress; communicate with the supervising physical therapist and adjust plans as needed.

Compensation: $35.00 - $38.00 / hour

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care Implementation: Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to address patients' specific rehabilitation goals and functional needs.
• Therapeutic Exercise and Activities: Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities designed to enhance their physical function and promote recovery. Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques, monitor their progress, and provide feedback to ensure safe and effective participation.
• Modalities and Physical Agents: Ensure the proper application of various treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment parameters as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, proper body mechanics, and techniques for managing pain and discomfort.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor patients' responses to treatment interventions, documenting their progress and any changes in functional status or treatment tolerance. Communicate regularly with the supervising physical therapist, providing updates on patient progress and collaborating on adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
