Job summary

CORA Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our PRN pool in the Punta Gorda, FL area. In outpatient clinics, you’ll provide treatment under a Physical Therapist, supporting patient progress and safety.

This flexible role offers autonomy, meaningful patient care, and the chance to grow with a supportive rehab team. Applicants should have an accredited PTA program degree, PTA license or eligibility, and a desire to learn and impact local communities.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed or license eligible as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• A passion to learn, grow, and make an impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under a Physical Therapist per established plan.
• Help progress patients safely through levels of treatment within their capabilities.
• Consult with supervising PT on patient progress and changes in condition.
• Document treatment and interactions per CORA policies.
• Educate patients and families on home programs and activities.
• Maintain effective communication with rehab team and patients.

What You‘ll Do

• Make a powerful impact on your local community through inclusive physical therapy treatment.

• Provide physical therapy treatment to patients in accordance with an established treatment plan as directed by a Physical Therapist

• Progress patients skillfully and safely through the levels of treatment within the maximum capabilities of the patient

• Consult with supervising Physical Therapist regarding progress and changes in patient’s condition

• Document all treatment and other pertinent patient interaction in accordance with CORA policies

• Provide relevant education to patient and family regarding home programs and activities

• Develop and maintain effective communication with the patient, family and other members of the rehabilitation team
