A therapy services provider in Florida is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to assist in patient care and therapy implementation. Responsibilities include leading exercises, monitoring treatment progress, and educating patients and families on care techniques. Compensation: $32.00 - $35.00 / hour

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care Implementation: Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist to address patients' specific rehabilitation goals and functional needs.
• Therapeutic Exercise and Activities: Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities designed to enhance their physical function and promote recovery. PTA instruct patients on proper exercise techniques, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure safe and effective participation.
• Modalities and Physical Agents: Ensure the proper application of various treatment modalities, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment parameters as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, proper body mechanics, and techniques for managing pain and discomfort.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor patients' responses to treatment interventions, documenting progress and any changes in functional status or treatment tolerance. Communicate regularly with the supervising PT, providing updates on patient progress and collaborating on adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current license/certification in the state of practice
