Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA is seeking an entry‑level Physical Therapy Assistant to join our compassionate, faith‑led team on a full‑time Day shift. You will support physical therapy evaluations, help implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and ensure patient safety while delivering high‑quality, person‑centered care to our community.

The role requires an Associate’s degree, BLS, and PTA or PTA‑TEMP certification, plus basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required in a related program.
• PTA certification or PTA-TEMP preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Experience with EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports principles of safety for employees and patients during daily activities.
• Assists with physical therapy evaluations and implements treatment plans.
• Monitors patient progress and communicates discharge recommendations to the PT.
• Modifies treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments.
• Collects patient data and coordinates with PT for optimal outcomes.

Job Description:

Shift: Monday - Friday

Entry level pay starting at $26/hr.

• Practices principles of employee and patient safety during daily job activities.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.
• Implements individualized treatment plans based on physical therapy evaluations and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Modifies treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments in consultation with physical therapist.
• Collects patient data and communicates with the physical therapists regarding discharge recommendations when maximum benefit has been achieved.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formats
